Today, the Chinese Smartphone maker rolled out a minor update for former Honor 6 Smartphone. The device was first launched with the KitKat operating system and it has all necessary hardware to run on Lollipop OS. Talking about the features, it is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 920 processor that boost 3 GB RAM. Huawei Honor 6 comes with 2 storage variants (16GB/32GB) and the price depends on the storage choice. Even though, you brought Huawei Honor 6 featuring basic internal storage. It can be expandable via external memory slot up to 64GB.
The update covers some minor improvement (new EMUI 3.1) and bug fixes. We are happy to announce Indian Honor 6 consumer to get the first official update. Consumers got two different ways to update unlocked firmware. You can either download from their official website or use the default updater method. I recommend software updater is the best way to grab the latest version. This can be done via directly from the phone. You can find all necessary options under the phone setting menu. The new firmware carries 1.3GB file, so it’s better to use Wi-Fi rather than normal internet.
Sometimes, the device automatically prompts update cancellation due to insufficient storage. To get rid-off this kind of issue, make sure you free up 3GB space in phone memory and take a data backup file. The latest firmware doesn’t bring any big change, but you can experience new EMUI 3.1 and better performing ART runtime. Honor 6 has powerful hardware that can sustain Android marshmallow update too. If you don’t get any update notification, just download the update file from the Huawei official website. Don’t forget to share your opinion in the comment section below. We look forward for firmware news for Honor 6.
