Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) rolled out a firmware update to fix iCloud music library. Ever since the high-end Smartphones like Apple iPhone 5S, iPad Air 2, iPhone 6, iPad Mini variants has messed in built-in streaming Apple Music service. Interestingly, Apple stated new update brings all improvement related to Apple Music.
According to the official press release, this firmware brings patch up all music service bug issues on Apple Smartphone. Moreover, Apple listed some improvement and fixes on iOS 8.4.1. It includes music track artwork bug fix, resolve added songs that hide in offline Apple Music, fix tap issue on Love while listening to Beats 1, enables to add new playlist if there is no playlist and many more.
Unfortunately, latest update iOS 8.4.1 doesn’t make any sense. Those updated Smartphone users still has some problems in iCloud music like auto-refresh to homepage while using a music library after coming back from other applications. This indicates a new firmware update failed to bring changes on every problem. We can expect a future iOS firmware update that gives much more improvement in the music library. On the other hand, you can also downgrade from iOS 8.4.1 firmware to 8.4 version.
Step to downgrade from iOS 8.4.1 to 8.4:
Step 1: To do so, download 8.4 firmware of your Smartphone from here.
Step 2: Ensure that you downloaded lower version firmware from the given link.
Step 3: Once the download process completed, launch iTunes in dock mode and boot your Smartphone in DFU mode.
Step 4: Restore your device by holding ALT/option button and choose the downloaded firmware to revert to iOS 8.4. Take rest until the whole process to complete, it takes 15-20 minutes to complete restoration. Once it’s done, you can use iOS 8.4 (older version) on Smartphone.
Updated: Apple closes iOS 8.4 firmware, you can’t upgrade or downgrade iOS to 8.4 firmware.
